Motherboard Madness
So during my move last weekend, I managed to screw up my motherboard. It’s fried. Kapoot. No juice. After upgrading my case with power supply with no apparent effect, I decided to buy a new motherboard and processor. That includes RAM too since my old Athlon 1.2Ghz used PC133 SDRAM and the new board takes DDR memory of PC2100 flavor or better. So I bought a 512 with that as well. I purchased the parts,along with pretesting/burning from Compu Terra. Never heard of them but I was digging their customer service vibe.
Inadvertently, I switched my shipping and billing address (which would typically be the same save for the weekend move). I was not able to reach anyone until Monday afternoon. They did not have the origianl motherboard in stock and offered to upgrade me to the new one. They upgraded the order and shipped the same day. Yesterday, I recieved the parts by Fedex, preassembled and apparently tested.
However, after connecting the main power supply, the 4-pin 12v power connection, ensuring proper jumper placement for 333 Mhz front side bus, connecting the power switch and the PC speaker, I could not get it to POST. No beeps whatosever. No video. Nothing. I have power to the motherboard since the CPU fan is running, but no other indications of what the problem might be.

Athlon XP 2800+/333 (Thoroughbred)
512 PC2100 DDR RAM
Anyone ever get this card? It’s an inexpensive board but gets decent reviews… I’m at a loss.
