$100 Open-source PC

by Aaron Brazell on November 27, 2004 · 2 comments

Microsoft executive, Steve Ballmer, challenged the computer industry to manufacture a $100 computer last month. The industry responded with open source, which I don’t think was what Ballmer had in mind.

The unit is intended to be used as a platform for education and economic development in third world countries and, unfortunately will only be distributed 100,000 at a time. If you have a million dollars lying around, you may consider this. It’s for a good cause. :)
