NWS Releases Weather Data in XML

I won’t use this. At least not right now. With national, and international reaches, I’m sure someone in Brisbane, Australia could care less if it is raining and 40 degrees here.

But perhaps I’m just not creative enough to see what kind of important uses can be derived.

What am I referring to? The National Weather Service has just released a data feed of weather information in XML format. This is great for forecasters, but I see no real use for me.

Nonetheless, here’s the info you need to know to implement this data on your website or web service.

I agree with David. If there’s one thing you don’t want to buy used it’s a hard drive.

I don’t see it, but I made the change anyway. Thanks Carol and Vin.

The change works in IE and the Mozilla 1.8 alpha builds (Firefox is based on Moz 1.7.3). It’s an old IE-only CSS trick that’s going into the CSS3 standard. For now you can use plain old overflow: hidden; as well.

Correction, I see it now for some reason, and I’m not using 1.0 (I upgraded at home but not here apparently). I am using FF 0.9.1 here.
