Wesley Clark, Sitcom Screen Writer
Yes, you heard it here. According to this story from Cleveland.com, Wesley Clark is tapping into his L.A. screenwriter son as his connection to Hollywood. I guess making the transition from Army General, to Presidential Candidate, to sitcom screenwriter is a natural flow of career… wouldntyathink?
Wesley Clark is taking the next step in his career. After serving as an Army general, then losing out to John Kerry in the Democratic presidential primaries, he may have found his calling: He’s writing a sitcom. Of course, all the writing teachers tell you to write what you know, and apparently Clark knows the same teachers. His show is going to be about a retired Army general returning to the civilian world. Chances of it getting a network are not unreasonable: His son, Wesley Clark Jr., is a screenwriter in Los Angeles and presumably has the connections. But Clark isn’t putting all his eggs in one basket. He’s also mulling a run for governor of Arkansas. Oh yeah, like that job has ever led to anything.
