Cartography

I had to put a new theme up. The last theme seemed to bomb out the server. I don’t know why, but after porting it to the WP 1.5 system, the server has been extremely slow. When making a few key changes, without fail, Apache would crash. So enough of that.

This theme is called Cartography and uses the same graphic concept as the last one. It is a two-column design as opposed to three. Some info is no longer present to conserve space.

Hope you enjoy it. It is based on the theme called GreenTrack and as of now is still very similar. I have plans though which will take it farther away from GreenTrack.

    Looks nice. A few suggestions:

    1. Smilies have a border on them. I’m not sure how easy it would be to remove, but it’s a little weird.

    2. I would narrow the letter spacing in the “News. Technology. Everything Else.” piece. Bonus points if its edges line up with the “Technosailor” text edges :).

I like this SO much better. Much easier on the eyes. Whitespace is your friend. :-)

    Suggestions.

    1) Redesign without popups. Google and Yahoo toolbars for IE also block popups. In my book, there is no legitimate reason for popups.

    2) Redesign not for IE. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER design only for IE. Ever!

Hmm…not bad, although tbh I liked the red- or blueish theme a little better, but I guess we’ll get used to it ;-)

    That better, Vinnie?

Change “1px” in #header p to “0.1em” and the edges of your paragraph should line up with “Technosailor”, at least at default text settings. ;)

As with most of what I have (finances, computers, personas…) I have two sets: one for work, one for home. My home set has 9 and a keyfob. My work set has 6. Don’t even get into the subject of work-related “prox-cards”!!
