Blogging and Podcasting are the Future of Media

February 28, 2005

For a while, I have been evangelizing blogging and most recently podcasting.
I truly believe they will change the way we distribute and analyze content.

Putin Misunderstands American Journalism

February 28, 2005

Vladimir Putin is stuck in a Soviet era. His concept of media is state run according to Time Magazine. At the recent meeting between Bush and Putin, Putin apparently confronted Bush on Dan Rather’s firing as if Bush was responsible. As an administration representative put it, “It was like something out of 1984.”

Priceless

February 25, 2005

Here’s a photo I found slightly amusing in a Washington Times story outlining the recent meetings between President Bush and Russian president Vladimir Putin.
I felt the picture begged for a caption:

Caption:“Yes, Putey-pute, we will go to McDonalds after the picture. Stop slouching! Smile! Be a good boy.”

My Resume in Bash

February 24, 2005

Yes, I’m a geek. In an effort to get a Unix job and humor potential employers, I wrote my resume up in Bash. I still have a couple of niggling things, but it just proves I have way too much time on my hands. :)

February 24, 2005

GAO 09/2004 Report
Last September the GAO released this report detailing a plan for our Homeland Security to tighten up our ports. The report also covered its investigation post 9/11 of our security at our nation’s largest ports. That being said, what is being reported by other groups about Port Security should alarm us as it [...]

I wanted to mark my return to the Anatomy of a Website series by talking about an issue that is potentially of interest to both the techies and the political aficionados: your privacy online. Nearly every website you visit nowadays wants some of your information. It could be as little information as your browser type [...]
