He has been, let’s say controversial, of late. If you don’t know who Ward Churchill is, please read here, & an opposing view.

Alot of things have been said both for this guy and against him. Personally I fall on the against side of the aisle, but I wanted to open this topic up for discussion.

Why I don’t care for this guy and think he should be fired:
1. Any college professor with tenure shouldn’t automatically assume it’s a free ride to voice your radical views.

2. In a time of war, to say you support the terrorists flying planes into buildings killing “little Eichmans” is your right to say, but as an American, you will suffer for your anti-american views. Is that right? Open mouth, insert foot in my humble opinion.

3. While I will defend any person’s right to voice their opinions, to protest even if it’s filled with insanity or bile hatred, for no other purpose than to get attention, or antogonize others, you will suffer for the actions you choose to make. And that doesn’t mean I will come after you and silence you, it simply means if it’s wrong, you will ultimately pay the price for it, and I hope you have the courage to swallow your pride, suck it up, and move past it.

4. Colleges are tax payer funded these days. Most importantly they are also privately funded by the students who attend those institutions. Many of those colleges are radical and liberal in their educational doctrine, like Berkley, but that doesn’t mean they support Pro-Terrorist views, and I tell you, any college that does will not last long.

Colleges are great institutions for debate and open minded thinking, but this venom is not open minded and continues to, in my opinion, aid and abet terrorists to continue to fight against our coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In conclusion, I think Mr. Churchill should have stepped down from the College’s “Ethics” board, and people have spoken loud enough to end his career as a college professor. That’s not the college bowing to pressure, that’s the local citizens in Colorado saying with a clear voice “We don’t need Anti-American’s working and sucking up a salary in America”.
