Thoughts for the Day
The first has been the overwhelming amount of support for Utica Avenue. Since I posted the theme at 11:33 pm yesterday and notified Wordpress at 11:41 pm yesterday, it has been added to two unofficial lists and the official Wordpress Codex. Taking a quick glance at my stats, I have had 485 hits on my entry since yesterday. Okay, not a huge number as websites go, but that is alot of pageviews in an 18 hour time frame for this site!!!
The second thought is about my new job. Interesting to say the least. I’m still not sure of the “scope” of customers we support. Most are in our facility but apparently, we have users as far away as Washington State. Hmmm. From the description, it seems like alot of scope creep can play into this as I’m not sure if anyone really knows who we support and who we don’t. Good people I work for. Not “old job” quality, but good none the less.
I guess the bad part of my first day is that I have no internet access. I needed to fill out all this paperwork and I guess it might take up to 3 days before I can hit Google? Or Technosailor… In fact, I have nothing but email, so I emailed people all day. Just to chat. Just to make time go by.
Oh well, I suppose the next few days will open things up for me.

Yeah, a new WP theme does wonders for traffic. I shot up from ~3000 uniques to ~8500 uniques monthly since I released my themes and it keeps increasing every month :)
