Well, yesterday was a day of firsts for me. Most notably, Jeremy Wright asked me to write a contributory piece, a sidebar really, toward his new book on blogging. It was quite an honor to be asked as that has never happened before. This might be one of the more high profile things I’ve participated in and I’m grateful to Jeremy for the opportunity and excited about the topic.
Jeremy asked me to write a sidebar, a short concise piece that hammers a single point effectively and well, on authenticity. Authenticity, as you know from my previous writings on the topic of blogging, is essential to the success of the blogger. Readers sense when a writer is being flakey and when there isn’t conviction about the topic they are writing about. To me, this is one of the most crucial ingredients to successful blogging and I’m glad I could contribute in a small way.
