Filling a request

Posted by: Sean

Hello devoted TECHNOSAILOR readers…it me GEMINI 38 (formally The Angry Black Man) filling in on a special request for my brother. I see there have already been a couple of guess entries on Memorial Day so I will drop just a quick blurb.

Memorial Day has a more personal meaning for me because it is my birthday weekend/holiday. I have served in the Army and I know what it feels like to be away from home and my family. I also know what it feels like to be representing the USA in places other than the USA. I will never froget riding through a small town in Germany and seeing the American flag being flown upside down. That really crushed me because here I was being stereotyped by someone who didn’t know me. Here I was being held accountable for some actions I didn’t do.

Kind of reminds me of being here in the USA but that is another entry another time.

Anyway I am always looking forward to Memorial Day because I do take the time to reflect the year and this year I didn’t party like I normally would. I did on the day of my birthday and that was just with my family. I drove my wife to VA Beach to celebrate with her best friend who just had a baby. It was kinda cool to get away but the ride would have sucked if my wife wasn’t with me.

Anyway I am so greatful to become 1 year wiser.

Aaron should be back in the pocket shortly and congrats to him. I swear dude you are on a roll and I am so hoping to one day be as fruitful in this blogging game just like you.

        Twitter Pitch!

Twitter pitching is a form of pitch that requires succint "what does this mean for me" kind of pitching. It is the ultimate efficiency of words. You have 140 characters or less to tell me why your pitch matters to me or my readers. Please include a means of contacting you. This is included in your 140 characters. If you send successive pitches, you will likely be ignored, unless it's obvious that the first pitch was a case of "accidental send", etc.

This form of pitching does not mean I'm being a diva. It means that my time is valuable, and you want a piece of it. It's good practice for you, and delivers your pitch in a format I want. Win-win.
