Itis: The definition

by Sean on August 9, 2005 · 9 comments

I have been asked to explain Itis. There really is no formal explanation so I will go with the simple one.

Itis is term used in most African-American communities (at least that is where I learned it).

Here is the best description:

The family had gathered for a get together. There they had Baked chicken, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, peach cobbler and a host of other good home cooked foods. After one of those big plates Rod got “Itis”.

Itis is when the food hit the stomach and you can’t do nothing but sit down and go slam to sleep just like the picture of Aaron’s son.

So whenever you eat a good meal and you yawn right after and don’t want to do anything bit sit still chance are you are a victim of Itis.
