You Know You’ve Been Playing Splinter Cell Too Long When…

I’ve been trying to complete Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for a few months now. Granted, I haven’t been dedicating my entire sum of free time (such that it is) so I continue to try to complete it after many months. I’m a huge fan of the series and have played every entry thus far. Every time I play, the game has the same effect on me. You know you’ve been playing Splinter Cell too long when:

  • You see security cameras and you have an urge to put your back flat against the wall, peer around the corner, and shoot the camera out.
  • You walk into someone’s office, their back is to you, and you want to sneak up behind them and put them in a choke hold before they can alert security.
  • You walk down a wide flight of stairs and can see into an open area below and you feel like you have to drop down on the guy walking below and knock him out.
  • When you are walking at night, you try to stay to the shadows so no one sees you.
  • You have an urge to use an OCP to “hack” a keypad on a door from 100 yards away
  • When it storms at night and lightning is flashing, you hope that “the enemy” doesn’t spot you.

Do I have the bug? :p

oh.. is it splinter cell that makes you do this? I thought everyone thought things like this; perhaps I’m a little more paranoid than others :D

The biggest indication is the shooting out the camera part. :)
