Montgomery, Alabama: Day Two

by Aaron Brazell on September 13, 2005 · 4 comments

We were moved from our hotel in Dallas, Texas to Montgomery, Alabama. Much nicer hotel here in the Embassy Suites. However, Montgomery is a hole!! Outside of the four sides of the ES property is nothing but boarded up buildings and abandoned alleys and empty streets. It’s okay. Keeps yours truly out of trouble.

In another vein, volunteers are being sought from our group to stay an additional 3 weeks (total six). I need to go home and take care of some business, but I volunteered. My work is important right now and we are making a big difference.

There’s much I’d like to say about the facilities and the damage that we took. All I can really go into any depth about is that it is vast and uncalculable damage. Everywhere.

With all that is going on with me (posting soon) I thought I would take a minute to say there are not enough words to tell you how proud of you I am. You are a go-getter and have a great heart. I wish you much success.
