Montgomery, Alabama: Day Six

by Aaron Brazell on September 17, 2005

After a full week of work in Mississippi, things have moved into a much more organized chaotic mode. The crews that were in from Dallas and Melbourne, Florida went home yesterday morning. That left seven of us to a 17 passenger plane. Mucho stretching room. It’s temporary as reinforcements from Newport News, Virginia, California and D.C. arrive tomorrow.

After a full week of 14 hour days, last night was unwind night. Two of the guys who are with me, Sean and Tracy, and I headed down the road a bit to the Montgomery Brew Cafe which was a nice cozy little joint. Cheap food. Excellent beers. And live music. Sure it was country (when in Rome, do as the Romans do) but they were an excellent cover band covering everything from Tim McGraw to Lynyrd Skynrd to the Steve Miller Band.

We have a full two days off today. I’ll be doing laundry and working on my book today. I have airport runs to make tomorrow and the plan is to watch football.

Ahhhhhh….relax
