And They Preach Tolerance
The rioting in France, now into its second full week, should come as nu surprise to anyone. The situation is that Paris has had an open-door policy to immigrants from anywhere, particularly North Africa and the Middle East. Sound familiar? Substitute Paris with Washington. Substitute North Africa and the Middle East with Mexico and Central America.
Paris has offered “liberty, equality and fraternity” to all coming to its doorsteps, and has had this policy for many years. The problem is, as Paris is finding out, that you cannot keep these general promises all the time to all people and sooner or later, the inability to keep these promises of liberty, equality and fraternity boils over.
Specifically in this case, you have a bunch of first generation african-frenchmen…. Africans by lifestyle, bloodline and tradition; French by birth; Muslim by religion. Having reigned over their territory, unchecked by authorities, when confronted by police began rioting.
It interesting to note the population of this area:
But who lives in the affected areas? In Clichy itself, more than 80 percent of the inhabitants are Muslim immigrants or their children, mostly from Arab and black Africa. In other affected towns, the Muslim immigrant community accounts for 30 percent to 60 percent of the population. But these are not the only figures that matter. Average unemployment in the affected areas is estimated at around 30 percent and, when it comes to young would-be workers, reaches 60 percent.
In these suburban towns, built in the 1950s in imitation of the Soviet social housing of the Stalinist era, people live in crammed conditions, sometimes several generations in a tiny apartment, and see “real French life” only on television.
Does it surprise anyone what the cause is here? I rail against this stuff in our own society and here we see cause and effect in French society.
Cause: Unchecked immigration. Weak Law enforcement. Open arms to Muslim Extremism.
Effect: Uncontrolled riots. Terrorist integration with the fabric of society.
The French used to flatter themselves for the success of their policy of assimilation, which was supposed to turn immigrants from any background into “proper Frenchmen” within a generation at most.
That policy worked as long as immigrants came to France in drips and drops and thus could merge into a much larger mainstream. Assimilation, however, cannot work when in most schools in the affected areas, fewer than 20 percent of the pupils are native French speakers.
As our own culture approached a destined date with a true open borders show-down, we can take some examples from our friends in France who have maintained a culture of openness.

I don’t believe I ever linked Muslims and Central Americans. I’m lumping the whole of illegal immigration as well as terrorism concerns from jihadists together.

That doesn’t even remotely make sense. The riots in France are religiously motivated. There weren’t any hispanic terrorists on 9/11 or any other terrorist act. Comparing my family to terrorists is very offensive!
