One thing though: If you look at the Pajamas site you’ll note that a lot of the blogs that have been linked on stories (and I’m talking 50% or more) aren’t even members of the project. That sort of flies in the face of your conclusions.

And as for me distancing myself, I’m just in it for the money. If they don’t boost what I’m making after this first contract term, I’ll probably cut myself loose as I’m pretty sure I’d be making more on my own.

But we’ll see. Thought it wouldn’t hurt to give this one a shot.

The other half of me says that it’s just encouraging this nonsense to do so. I’m far from a liberal. I’m musch closer to a conservative. However this self-aggrandizement (on both sides) has got to stop. It’s grating. I really think most Americans get tired of hearing the left and the right toot their own horn about as they continue on their merry way of demeaning the other side. It’s a life’s work to make sure the Dems are wrong or visa versa on the Republican side. Don’t you think this politics for the sake of politics is stupid? I do!

And frankly, Pajama Orgy is exactly that… more partisan hacks talking about things that divide the country even more while the rest stand back and polarize themselves away.

I don’t know what you think Pajama Media is going to do for you. I’d be distancing myself personally.

As for conservative bloggers “cumming in their pants” about this venture, I hardly think that is true. Several member blogs have questioned the point of the venture’s portal aspect, and several more non-member conservative bloggers have been down-right nasty in their criticism of the project (Ann Althouse referred to the project as ejaculate, I’m not kidding).

As for conservative blogs preaching to the choir, I know my blog certainly isn’t like that. In fact, I’d say that I have more liberal readers/commenters than conservative. My comments section is noting but one protracted left/right debate.

But hey, that’s just my two cents. And I’m a dumb right-winger, what do I know?
