Friday Poll and Another Migration

It may not come as a huge surprise to you that I have moved back to WordPress. Yes, this after not even a month of a foray to Textpattern. While Textpattern was nice and lightweight, I still find it cumbersome with plugins, etc. “You probably saw it coming”:http://www.technosailor.com/textpattern-to-wordpress-import-script/.

One thing I do have to say is that I have grown attached to “Textile”:http://textism.com/tools/textile/ which was built into Textpattern. Same maker. So I added “Textile for WordPress 2.6″:http://www.huddledmasses.org/2004/04/19/wordpress-plugin-textile-20/ to my plugin list allowing me to continue to post entries using it.

h3. Democracy is Back!

I missed the old poll system. It was much nicer. More AJAXy. And I could never get the poll in Textpattern to work the way it was supposed to.

Since it is Friday, here’s the newest poll. _Will_ Dick Cheney resign? This is a tough question for you partisan hacks to answer, but I’m asking you to reach into the deepest objective fibers of your being and not answer _Should_ he resign, but _will_ he?

There you go. Have at it,

So THAT’s where your updates went off to. I was juust about to visit to see what was up with the lack of updates (I primarily RSS you through my Safari reader). Glad to see the updates back in my toolbar in the mornings.

Correct me if I’m wrong (ha, like you wouldn’t!), your poll cannot be answered unless one makes a judgement of should he resign or not. Of course maybe you’re just trying to point out how polls are flawed in general and can never be used to gauge public opinion correctly.

Well in a twisted sort of way you’re right. However, since I’ve left the poll open for readers to add their own answers, you’d be incorrect. :-)

I don’t think he will resign but I don’t think he’s doing a good job either…
