Red Handed Thievery

This, my friends, is what you call plagiarism and thievery. A new blog. No entries except one copied and pasted article verbatim. The article, of course is my “10 Things You Need to Know” artice from Problogger.

“Savannah Internet Services”, or whatever they call themselves, have stolen an entry and pawned it as if it is their own. No commentary. No citation of source. Thievery.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Plagiarism will get you in a whole lot of trouble.

No they aren’t that’s part of the original article. They need to link back to the Problogger article. The only reason why I found out about it is because they cut and pasted the article with all the links intact that created a pingback to me.

Hmm, great. I guess the Adsense etc will appear some time soon, once they’ve got their splog tech into gear. Grrr.

As per usual the registrant details are next to useless.

I just had the same thing happen to me - little 18 year old was copying my graphic style, web site, blog entries, etc. How annoying.

Whilst there’s no question it’s thoroughly irritating, and blatant theft, I’m really struggling to figure out why on earth they’ve done this. A one page website that does nothing more than basically plug you. (not that you asked for the plug, but still). It’s very weird.

I think we’ve all at one point had this happen, I know I have.
