IE7 Beta

January 31, 2006

Internet Explorer Beta 2 Preview is available for download at the Microsoft web site.
Download’s fairly smooth, and they have a nice new interface.

Perhaps the biggest change is the introduction of tabbed browsing, which could very easily give them back an automatic 1% of the market share.
There are, however, some annoyances with the [...]

You Can Blog: Live (Part 3)

January 31, 2006

–Continued from Part 2 (Part 1)
In a recent exchange on a blog I commented on, the author had posted an entry on a topic that was somewhat controversial. It was a topic that I had definite opinions, and those opinions seemed to contradict the author’s perspective. I made a comment that was not hostile toward [...]

Newsvine- a review

January 30, 2006

Yet another post by Jesse, who is still substituting for Aaron.
It’s not digg. It’s not del.icio.us. It’s not Reuters. It’s not really comparable to anything. Newsvine.com.
Here I’ll attempt to give you an idea of how one of the newest, and cleverest sites out there. Newsvine is being heralded as the next digg/delicious/etc., but I [...]

Introducing Noraa

January 30, 2006

It’s gotten difficult to maintain 5 blogs by myself. I have a friend who I’ve been talking to for awhile trying to get her to write for me and finally she has agreed. I’m not quite sure how much. You’ll have to ask her.
Noraa comes from a similar background as me with alot of [...]

January 30, 2006

–Continued From Part 1
As bloggers, most of our interaction comes with people whom we have never met in person. In fact, our little corners of the internet often involve people from all across the world whom we may never meet in person. On my blog, I commonly encounter people from Europe and Asia as well [...]

The Existence of God

January 30, 2006

Disclaimer: In case you didn’t notice, this post has been contributed by me, Jesse. This is my opinion, and this is what I think. This is not necessarily Aaron’s opinion and what he thinks. If you disagree and hate me, that’s completely fine, but don’t go unsubscribing from his feed or anything because of what [...]

January 29, 2006

I’m closing in on chapter 7 this week, How Blogging Can Help Your Relationships. I figure I’m going to write this chapter online so you can enjoy and hopefully get excited about your copy when it comes out. It is a draft and will likely be hacked and slashed before submission. But [...]

When Good Men Grow Up

January 29, 2006

As a member of Red Sox Nation, I was upset when the brains behind the Red Sox, Theo Epstein, left Boston last fall after contract negotiations fell through.  Of course, “fell through” is really a misnomer.  It was really ugly.  So ugly, in fact, that the untimely departure of Epstein was under cover in a [...]

Retreating to Focus

January 28, 2006

This next week is going to be a killer for me. I’m working on a major project for my job with The Connection and I’m time constrained. I’ve also agreed to take an additional chapter for You Can Blog to propel this thing for the last mile. That is due next weekend. [...]

His Hair is Flying Away

January 27, 2006

I took my son to Chik-fil-A tonight where he played on the playground set. This isn’t a great picture since it was from my phone and he was moving, but if you look closely, the static from the plastic jungle jim is making his hair stand up wildly everywhere. :)

Google’s 90 Day Policy for Referrals

January 27, 2006

There have been many post today (on just about every Blog I visited) regarding the new Google 90 Day Policy for Referrals. This is in reference to the change from paying the publisher $100 for any referral that crests $100 on their new AdSense account, to paying only if the referred publisher reaches $100 [...]
