I want this gadget – UWB USB Hub

In the “wicked cool” segment of my constant pursuit of products that are cool and make me more productive, Belkin has just announced its new CableFree USB hub.

It is essentially a UWB device that allows you to place your laptop anywhere in the room while STILL maintaining wireless access to your USB devices.

Here is where the productivity comes in. Now you don’t have to be a network engineer to set up network storage or print servers. Also, if you plug the USB dongle into other machines you essentially have a KVM switch for your computer.

It will be out in early Spring 2006. Price was not announced yet.
