Now, Everyone can Contribute

It came to my attention everyday that entries written by folks on Open Mic Friday lose attribution when they are moved back to Subscriber status on non-Fridays. This is unfortunate and I have attempted to remedy this.

As a result, I have made all users who normally do not have permissions to post topics full time Contributors and have made the Contributor role the default role for new users. The result of this will be that anyone can contribute at any time. However, the rules of Open Mic Friday still apply that it will be on Fridays that I look at my queue and publish entries.

The flip side of this is that you don’t have to constrain your writing, should you want to make an entry here at Technosailor, to only Fridays. If you feel inspired on Tuesdays, feel free to write.

Feel free to open up your entries with a one or two line bio line of yourself and a link to one or two of your sites. I enjoy a Google pagerank of 6 so this should server well to help boost your own blog ranking. :)

Personally, the more I think about this approach, the more I prefer it to the old method.

    Did you happen to read Darren’s post on his forray into Professional Blogging today.

    I think it answers some of the more pertinent questions on the subject.
