Thoughts on improving the value of your blog
For those of my readers out there, I will guess that most of you have your own blogs.
As I continually work to improve the blog, it got me thinking, how can I help you, my customers, improve their blogs as well.
I was inspired in part by a recent article by A-Lister Robert Scoble who discussed just that – getting on the A-List.
Stowe Boyd also wrote an interesting rebuttal that I think adds dimension to Robert’s posting.
I have known Stowe since he saw my last company SlipStream Air in its VC preparation phase and he always has interesting things to say.
My favorite is “Human Sized Pieces”. I try and write content that is a mix of all original or builds on a very relevant conversation, but most important – keep it short and sweet. Just like I hope this entry is.
I look forward to debating this with him at SXSW.
Some additional advice I came across recently includes Chris Garrett’s article on “10 tips for attracting more comments“. I really liked that he used the one word approach with such novel things as “Ask” or “Seed” or “Observe”.
Problogging and Problogger are also a great sites you should check out on good advice for growing your blog
