Blogger Perks

It’s not money, but anyone who doubts that blogging can serve personal benefits need to look no farther. Thanks to my involvement with some of the folks at b5media, and my blogging in general, an offer was passed on to me to sample a Sprint phone and Sprint service free of charge for 6 months. They have given me the Samsung A920 phone with an All Access Sprint Power Vision plan.

Okay but after 6 months, I have to cancel or they start billing me, right? Oddly, no. In fact, even if I wanted to become a Sprint customer (and I won’t… I’m a happy Verizon Wireless customer), I can’t keep the number, plan or phone. There is no incentive for me to jump ship from my current provider. It seems to me like they want you as a customer, not me – which is okay.

When I start looking at the specs on this phone, I start to drool. Music, television, even Sirius satellite radio (for which I am a subscriber)… oh yeah, and it dials too. But look at this memory card and digital camera… :-)

Actually this came to me from Colbert at thegadgetblog.com. It was directly offered to him but he is not from the US. Us b5 Tech channel folks stick together. :-)
