Your Honor, I Rest My Case.

Today I don’t know if I should skip down the streets lauding “I Told You So’s” or just sit back and watch those who were wrong eat crow. In either case, I am happy to listen to my gut instincts and continue to cover a guy who is dangerous to America and who is a good case to bolster support for making illegal immigration a felony that warrants immediate deportation of all who hide in our shadows.

I’ve written a post here about Francisco Serrano. I’ve written several pieces about him on my former blog, which I should have backed up, and in my previous articles I’ve pointed out some suspicions I had about this guy.

Nevertheless, I endured flaming from trolls, and people who said just because he’s here illegally doesn’t mean he’s a criminal.

Today, all of you “naysayers” stand corrected:

The saga of a young illegal immigrant found living in Apple Valley High School continues, as he is now charged in a violent home invasion – in Boston.

A Boston woman said Serrano kicked in her apartment door and threatened to attack her early in the morning on March 29.

“He said, ‘I’m not here to steal, I’m here to kill,’” the woman said, requesting anonymity.

Her roommate grabbed a sauce pan and hit Serrano over the head.

“He just hit the guy, and you can see the handle is bent,” the woman said.

The man then chased Serrano down the stairs and into the street.

Boston police say they found Serrano wearing a ski mask, armed with a butcher’s knife and a pocket knife.

So, you see, these people who are here illegally have something to hide, and are not in our country with the pure intent of immigrating. They want something else. While I can speculate and postulate to my hearts content, if they had honest, and legitimate intentions, don’t you think they’d arrive here legally and go through the process like everyone else? Isn’t that the price of becoming an American citizen?

Serrano’s alleged victim says he does not deserve pity.

“It makes me feel like he’s a good con artist. He had everybody fooled,” the woman said.

If convicted, Serrano will serve time in Boston and then be turned over to federal agents for deportation. Experts say if that happens, it is unlikely Serrano will ever be able to return to the U.S.

Finally, someone who doesn’t have their eyes covered.

Case closed.

There are 11 million illegal immigrants here. Just because a few make headlines due to violent acts doesn’t mean all of those illegals have “something to hide”… Most are just poor and figure if they can get here, and work here, why not? - I would if I was hopeless. Our open border is our own damn fault.

Deporting all the illegal immigrants is just a stupid idea. How is that going to happen? Those demonstrators are very close to taking a page from the French… And just to note, the French rioters got their way.

I’m with Aaron on this one. I have a problem with giving huge handout to the ones that got here illegally, and to the ones doing the right thing, trying to get in legally, to say ’screw you’ sends the wrong message to everyone. Reward illegal behavior, and what you expect you will see more of, honesty?

I’m with Aaron and Peter all the way here. Sure you may not hear about the crimes that the illegals have committed, but do you really expect those stories to be told… I’m sure the American’s living along the border have some horror stories to tell about these poor, poor people who are only looking for a better life… Assault, robberies and property destroyed as this invading army illegally enters OUR country…

How can we get them to leave?

HUGE fines for any employer who hires them…

Cut off all social benefits, except for emergencies…

A child born in this country does not automatically become a citizen if the parents are here illegally…

This may be harsh, but it would work…

No jobs, no benefits… Why come here?

I still don’t know how anyone cause keep a straight face and say they aren’t law breakers when the very act of being here illegitimately is an act of unlawfulness.

“So, you see, these people who are here illegally have something to hide, and are not in our country with the pure intent of immigrating.”

Wow…I’m not a big fan of illegal immigration, but that’s got to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read.

Your suggestion that this one illegal immigrant’s case somehow proves that ALL of those who immigrate without going through the legal process are evil, is just stupid beyond words.

Mass generalizations are almost always worthless…this one certainly is.

Aaron’s comment may be a mass generalization, but not by much…

How many of the these illegal immigrants will end up part of MS-13? Not sure where you live, but in Maryland, especially Montgomery county their presense is very visible and the crime rate is going up…

Oh, perfect…Illegal aliens are now the scapegoats for why we have such high crime rates. What radio hack is spewing that?

As long as Bush is President no employer is going to face huge penaltties for hiring illegals. As long as illegals are flooding the market, wages and benefits can be kept down and unions will suffer. Sounds like a Republican dream come true to me.

It’s not a partisan issue, A.J. It’s an American issue. I love it when unions suffer and I’m no Republican and I’m certainly not pro-illegal immigrant.

Let’s face it, Bush really has nothing to do with this even if he and everyone else thinks he does. The issue was there before Bush and it will be there after Bush. If it was an issue that was really being dealt with, it would (and could! and should!) be dealt with on a local level with local government taking the lead with very generalized federal guidelines.

Bush is the President…He has nothing to do with the problem that’s been going on for years and years. But with all the scare tactics of outside threats coming to get us apparently, why in the hell hasn’t anything been done about the border in recent years? What about thinking in a “post 9/11 view of the world” as Karl Rove likes to call it??

Local governments have been stepping up. The governors of AZ and NM - both Democrats, declared states of emergency last Summer!!! But they were accused of political posturing.

If you have no problem in the government spending billions of dollars in some desert in the Middle East than whats the big deal about the federal government stepping in and putting our tax dollars to work on securing our own border??

Get your facts straight.

I have a HUGE problem with spending billions in the middle east. Stop fucking assuming that because I’m a conservative I rubber stamp this or any administration that has an R in their party name.

And stop fucking assuming that I have any argument against AZ or NM. I think they are doing the right thing. Keep your arguments in bounds to what is actually being said here. You might not have said that I accused Dems of posturing and you might not have said that I supported spending billions but you sure make it sound that way.

I assumed as much about you as you did about me when you said I wanted a government “nanny state” not long ago.

Cary? Or Whomever? Do you care to characterize what is taking place here? While 1 illegal committing a serious felony doesn’t automatically make all the other illegals murders, it sure doesn’t make them law abiding Ward Cleavers now does it? My generalization was stated with a disclaimer, buck up and take it with your bitter little pill.

Bush was all over this from day one of his presidency. Unfortunately, his version of solving the problems was to placate Vincente Fox and find a way to amnesty-ize all the Mexicans here and give an open borders approach to Mexico. But he did qualify his approach with reasoning that said that it was because illegal immigration was a problem. His solution is messed up, but he was all over this from day one and evceryone scoffed.

This is a good excerpt from Neal Boortz… Once these illegal immigrants cross our border the are CRIMINALS…
“Today these people will be marching to tell us “Your laws mean nothing to us. We have numbers. Our numbers trump your laws.” We don’t care about your rule of law. We care about working in your plants, your restaurants, your offices, your fields and on your construction projects so that we can send money back home to our families in Mexico. As soon as we can, we’ll bring those families up here, regardless of what your laws say.”

What is fueling these protests? One thing: A fear that the laws of this country might actually be enforced. A fear that people might actually be prevented from crossing our borders illegally, and a fear that those who break the law every single day of their lives by just being here might actually have to face the consequences for their illegal actions.

They say that they are not criminals. Sorry, if they’re here illegally, they are criminals. They broke the law — they’re criminals. They say they just want to follow the American dream. Fine. There’s a way to do that. First, obey the law.” — Neal Boortz

She’s my good friend of 10 years and roommate. There are 4 of us that live in a farley large apartment in Boston’s North End. My roommate Spike, who beat Serrano with the pot, is usually on the road for his job. So we are lucky that he was home at the time. I wasn’t at the apartment when this all happened. So it could have been just her and my other male roommate who is way on the other end of the apartment from where he broke in. Her room is right near the kitchen. Serrano broke down our sealed kitchen door when he broke in. Knocking over a big rack in the process. That’s when he picked up the second knife, the butcher knife.

Taken from “Right Wing Howler”…

This is just one example of what will happen if the illegals are allowed to continue coming to our country en masse… These are not jobs Americans are not willing to fill…

“We had been told that 270 jobs might be available, and we could have filled every one of them with men from this area, most of whom lost their jobs because of the hurricane,” she said. “When we told the guys they would not be needed, they actually cried … and we cried with them. This is a shame.”

Mrs. Swope said employment agencies throughout Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi faced similar problems, when thousands of men from Mexico and several Central and South American countries — many in crowded buses and trucks — came into the three states after Katrina, looking for employment and willing to work for less money.

The number of foreign workers who flooded the area after the hurricane has been estimated at more than 30,000. Many of them have been identified by law-enforcement authorities and others as illegal aliens.

The Gulf Coast Latin American Association noted in a report that whether those workers will remain after the cleanup work is completed is not clear, but the longer those jobs last, the more likely it is that the workers will settle permanently. After Hurricane Andrew hit southeastern Florida in 1992, the association said, the construction boom attracted large numbers of Hispanic immigrants to several areas, including Homestead, Fla., where the Latino population doubled during the 1990s.
