Heralds’ Sox Blog on WordPress

soxher.jpgThe Boston Herald appears to be using WordPress for its Red Sox blog. Scintillating reading for any Yankee fan. Subscribe to their feed. :)

WordPress is indeed a force to be reckoned with and I can’t for the life of me figure out why any other platform would be preferrable. I mean, Textpattern is truly elegant and a worth quality competitor. Moveable Type? Pffft. Please. What does it offer that is better than WordPress? Then I have a collection of (female) friends who have an uncanny connection to Serendipity but I can’t figure out why. I only note that they are all female as maybe irerational behavior plays into the choice of an odd platform. I dunno.

Bottom line, WordPress really is easy and I can totally understand The Herald choosing it.

I tried out textpattern on a test site and didn’t really like it. I was going to install MT free to see what it’s like, but after I saw the crapload of perl I’d have to wade through to install it I said forget it and stuck with wordpress.
