Blogosphere Doubling Every Six Months

In an entry on the official Google blog, the search giant speaks of improvements to it’s blog search feature. Interestingly, one claim stood out to me as telling:

Ever since Google Blog Search launched, we’ve noticed that the universe of blogs has truly exploded–our index is doubling every six months.

However, unlike Technorati, it would appear that MySpace blogs are not being indexed.

Did you even check before making this statement. Check it out – http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&q=blogurl:myspace.com&btnG=Search Blogs

They seem to have around 40 million myspace blogs indexed.

Good call. I did do a quick search but it was just a general topic search and perused the first 10 pages. Thanks for the correction.
