WordCamp 2006

A few days ago I mentioned briefly in a post something called WordCamp. WordCamp is a one day “non-conference” that is really an intense one-day seminar on WordPress. The entire Automattice/WordPress Dev team will be there and by the looks of it 250 people will be attending.

Thanks to the Blog Herald team for making the trip to possible. I’ll be live blogging the event and representing Blog Herald. I’ll be the tall, bald guy in a white Blog Herald tee shirt. ;)

At any rate, I’ve gone out on the limb and booked myself an extra day in the Bay Area. I don’t klnow anyone out there but I’m hoping to meet some folks. So give me a shout. I’ll be landing at SFO at 12:30 PM and looking to hang out the rest of that day, and Friday. Saturday is the WordCamp event and Sunday I’ll be taking a red-eye home.

Call me up if you’ll be in town then and want to meet up. (410) 608-6620.

I highly recommend two places:

Buena Vista – the birthplace of Irish Coffee. Mmmm. Down by fisherman’s wharf.

Scoma’s – one of the best seafood places on the West Coast. Right at Fisherman’s wharf. Reservations recommended.

Can’t wait to see the coverage!

Good stuff, Matt. I’m pretty spoiled by southern and Maryland seafood but maybe I’ll give west coast seafood a shot ;)
