I’m in the process of writing a series of articles that I will prepublish for next week. It’s a bit of a departure from the normal flow of writing I have, but it’s something I’m grappling with in my own life, work and blogging and it’s something I’m observing in the wider world around me. The series is all about the role of ego in things like blogging, business, family, etc.
Ego is not necessarily a bad thing, but at the same time it can be the most destructive force around and can leave a wake of destruction, broken relationships and failed ventures behind it. It should be a fun topic of discussion.

Can’t wait to see that one.
I had a wonderful, spiritual teacher years ago who used to say “you can’t get across the street without an ego” - then he’d mutter about the problems with egomania. To me, that’s in interesting distinction.
