Urgent: Windows Vista Blogger Needed

Folks, b5media has an opening that needs to be filled for a Windows Vista blogger. Details on how to apply can be found here. It will be a multi-author blog and, though I thought I had found a blogger, that seems to have fallen through.

There is going to be a lot to talk about regarding Windows Vista in the months ahead, so if you feel like you are up to the task, go apply. It is a paid position.

    Hi Aaron:

I just purchased a beta DVD Windows Vista from MS today; I downloaded it too; my beta vista should arrive by snail mail in a couple of days (or weeks, if the response to open beta testing is high). I’d install it on my old computer, but it’s 10 years old! (darn and even Ubuntu won’t install on it… heh… guess it’s time to chuck that old pc).

I’m thinking about wiping my Dell exploding laptop’s operating system and installing windows vista; the latest beta release expires in June 2007.

I hope you find your ideal blogger(s).

Windows Vista is not for old PC’s. There is a reason why modern Motherboards are capable of using 2GB of ram.

Also, Vista comes in two processor flavors. 32bit and 64bit. Do not use the 64bit unless you know you have a powerful enough processor to use it.

I’ve tried both versions, and I have to tell you that I would get the 32bit before the other one (simply because it bogs down when you don’t have a processor with power) and there really isn’t much difference in functionality.

That’s not to say there isn’t distinct differences, it’s just a fancier form of XP, with a Mac OSX bend.

No Aaron, I’m not signing up to blog about it ;)
