Legos

When I was a kid, I collected Lego sets. I loved building the sets (and of course tearing them down and building other things with them as well). So I had a bit of a nostalgic moment yesterday as I stopped and picked up a lego set for my son and I to build. Really, I did all the building and he did all the playing, but it was fun. He is still too young for the regular Legos, but he had fun playing while I was there.

At any rate, it was a blast back to my childhood and I enjoyed every minute of being a 30 year old kid again. And of course, it was fun to watch my son get into it too. If you click on the photo and look at a bigger size pic, you’ll see that there’s even a skeleton hanging from this castle. Cool stuff. :)

You look different in every picture you take!

A lot of people complain about the new Lego being too thematic but it suits anal people who like to have directions. ;)

I love building Lego sets with directions. :) But yeah, I agree that they have become too thematic. I remember that there just used to be the space sets, the town sets and the castle sets – Now there are so many more.

Legos are great until you step on one in your bare feet at 2 AM on your way to the bathroom. Then they’re NOT SO GREAT.

Duplo is the set for smaller kids.

And Aaron, if you still like legos you’ll love Mindstorms. Basically lego for adults. A bit pricey ($200) but you get a robot you can program to do cool things. :)
