Looking to Move (Again)

Awhile ago, we were talking about moving to Virginia. We could still do that, though it’s highly unlikely. Instead, we’re considering a move to Buffalo sometime early next year.

Jeremy would like to get me to Toronto, but there are tons of complications with that – immigration, customs, visas to work for both me and my wife. Presumably b5media would pay for a move to Toronto but it’s just a little too much for us to deal with.

Moving to Buffalo would be ideal for us in a couple ways. One, it puts company headquarters driving distance away. I could go into the office, when one is established, a few times a week perhaps, but yet retain my enviable mobile lifestyle. Second, I am originally from Buffalo so I know the places, the neighborhoods and have family there. Third, there’s a great church there that we would like to be a part of. (In the interest of full disclosure, I have a great history from there).

I’m amazed at the low cost of living. It’s a far cry from Baltimore. I’ve posted a Housing Wanted ad on Craigslist in case anyone is interested or has someplace for us.

Hey, Buffalo’s a good first step ;-) Plus, yeah, cost of living must be like 70% of what it is in Baltimore, eh?

We’ve got freezing cold temperatures and two months of summer .. but us Winnipeg’ers usually say ..”At least we don’t get as much snow as they do in Buffalo” ~~ well .. sometimes we do.

And there are TWO Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores in Toronto.

    It’s an omen for sure.

Apparently, I need to find another store because the point is getting lost on semantics. :)

Hart: here in quebec city, we say Winterpeg ;)

But we get our fair share of snow, don’t you worry.

    Good luck, Aaron.
