New Version of Serendipity (s9y) to WordPress Importer Available

There is a new version of the Serendipity importer available for WordPress. It can be downloaded at here. Note: The old location no longer works.

This version is a bugfix version addressing issues of unassociated comments and unassociated categories. This should be considered a beta release until I get more user feedback.

To use, upload

1
serendipity.php

to your WordPress blog in the

1
wp-admin/import

directory.

I use serendipity v0.8x or something which is quite old.
I now want to migrate to use wp v2.5 for my site auctionwire.info

Does your importer work for that?

    thanks

I just wanted to say thanks for the importer. It worked perfectly as described, and saved me a TON of work moving my old posts.

    Very much appreciated!

Hi! I had a few problems with this. My categories weren't being imported properly, and it repeatedly timed out on me.
It was incorrecly using the id of the created Wordpress post to look up the old S9Y post, which I fixed, as well as adjusting the timeout delay, and breaking up the work of importing the posts into smaller steps.

    Seemed to solve the problem.

See the revised version (which I called 1.2) at http://michael.tyson.id.au/626-serendipity-s9y-...

I have saas installations of s9y and wp 2.7, and I am not a developer. s9y blog hosted at netsol as is my wp 2.7 blog; however don’t know whether they’re on the same server. It looks like this plugin only for running on the same box. Am I wasting my time playing with this, or can I use? Thanks-
