I came at this from another direction a couple of days ago, posting about how Digg might turn its UGC  strengths into a new ad network for long tail content, competing with AdSense.

In any case, your points in #2 and #5 speak to revenue opportunities; they need to find a few of those that don&#039;t drive their core users away.

I agree that digg has some challenges ahead of it.

Of your points, I agree most strongly with #1.  Digg would be better off figuring out a way to partner with more &quot;niche&quot; sites (possibly even licensing them the software).</description>
