Dan Rather sat 4 rows behind me on my Jet Blue Flight to Austin on Saturday. Gasps of of awe and standing ovation aside, the "news idol" appeared disheveled and down to earth. I found his talk inspirational in that he made me want to stick up for what I believe in and ask the tough questions. But why he was there to talk to a bunch of interactive web geeks, I am still not sure. I didn't see him partying out with any of the panelists between Saturday when he arrived and Monday when he spoke ... what do think he did at SXSW for those two days?
