Baltimore Washington WordPress Meetup: Episode Deux

Last month was such a great success, we determined that it would be great to have another WordPress meetup here in the Capital region. September 20th, we are meeting again at the Metropolitan Coffeehouse and Winebar in Baltimore where we had zippy wifi and a nice area to mingle and meet. Festivities begin at 6pm.

This month we have the added bonus of an imminent release of WordPress 2.3 scheduled for September 24th. I’ll of course have my 10 Things you need to know post, and we’ll have a chance to discuss the new WordPress release at the meetup.

As usual, this is open to anyone and completely free (food and drinks are on you!). I’d love to see folks from the greater blogging community and folks who just want to know more about blogging and new media. It will be a rawking time. RSVP at the meetup page and let us know you’re coming. The goal is to develop and tighten relationships in the Baltimore/Washington WordPress and blogging communities which is highly segmented and fragmented.

  1. Just came across this event via another posting. I’m working that day but would love to be notified of future DC/Balt region blogger events. Not too sure I fit in so well with one of those ‘entertainment gossip blogs’, still would love to meet local bloggers. Is there a mailing list?

  2. Craig: It’s a happy hour type thing so unless you’re working in the evening, you might still be able to make it. ;-)

That said, signup on meetup.com and RSVP ‘No’ – you’ll still get updates through their and I believe there is a email address for the meetup group there. We’rew planning on meeting monthly so hopefully you can get to the October meetup if not this week.

  3. I will be there, as I might just swing by on my way home from work. I just cannot RSVP via the site since I cannot get to my Gmail account.
