Too true.

I think founderitis comes to the full bloom, if the founder gets older. A really dynamic company is not owned by one person, so that it can deal with change more quickly, than if it would be owned by a dictator.

I had a mild bout of founderitis. The best thing for me to do was actually to find two or three people who deeply understand my company and its culture to pull me aside and explain their concerns. They were people and trust and know think very similar to me. I would encourage other entrepreneurs to do the same thing. It can help save your time and resources that may otherwise go into projects or activities that don't exactly move your company forward.
