I'm not masking anything with anything.I'm paid to blog about tech news.I blogged about tech news. As congress noted, blogging is a form of journalism. There are many forms of journalism, and blogging typically includes opinion. I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand, particularly for you.

Which begs the question... If you're trying to have an opinion, why do youmask it with journalism? Getting it right, sourcing, fact checking... all ofthese are journalistic traits. If you're not paid to be journalistic, thenwhy pretend? On the other hand, if you are paid to be journalistic, then you my friendare a shitty journalist. :)

Mark, I did not realize you were talking about this one and I still don't realize why this is supposed to be a "snide" comment. We both know that Vlad's issue referred here is too complicated, I spent a couple of hours myself reading about it to understand (I hope) the aspects involved. And I think it is obvious that Mashable rarely targets the audience that is interested in such complicated issues. Your audience is simply different - not bad, God forbid, it's a great audience (and, what's more important, it's huge and allows the blog to be profitable), it's just different. I definitely meant no offense here, I really admire the Mashable team for choosing the huge audience and targeting it with the right type of content - sensational, newsworthy, sometimes simply useful. Definitely this is not the worst you received in this situation about your post. And by the way, why do you choose not to reply to the first part of my comment about 1) not contacting me and 2) not updating the post?
