		<description>I don&#039;t get #3-- just because they used an existing rendering engine, they aren&#039;t innovating?  I&#039;d say V8, the underlying process model, and the non-intrusive UI  all qualify.  Even if you don&#039;t like or appreciate any of it, that doesn&#039;t make it *not* innovation.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As far as everything else goes:  It&#039;s obviously self-serving for them to say so, but because their actual business is web apps and advertising (and that there&#039;s no money in desktop web browsers--  most of Mozilla&#039;s money comes from.... Google) I think they&#039;re being reasonably sincere when they claim to just want to push the state-of-the-art further. If some of this stuff filters out to the other browsers, mission accomplished.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I see Chromium as a project similar to Gears-- Google investing in improving the ecosystem they have to operate in.</description>
