		<description>Some of the most successful people I know got that way by following their dreams through tough times like the crashes in 2001 and 1987. If your idea is good enough and you don&#039;t need pesky things like health insurance for your kids you should still go for it (especially if you don&#039;t need much outside help from VCs and the like); the rewards could be a lot greater when good times return.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I&#039;m in a &quot;stable job&quot; and have been for yearsnow , though I wouldn&#039;t call any job &quot;stable&quot; with confidence given current trends. But I need the insurance too :)</description>

		<description>Very sorry to hear that, Randy. Keep your chin up. Or take the opportunity&lt;br&gt;to go solo. Not recommended, as I said, for someone already in a job, but if&lt;br&gt;you lose your job it could be the safest and most sane thing. Won&#039;t be easy&lt;br&gt;though.</description>

		<description>I just lost my job last week and am in the horrible situation of trying to find a new one.  Very hard on the ego!  I&#039;ve never ever left one job without having another one lined up.  This is scary business.</description>
