Blogging the Podcast and New Media Expo

September 28, 2007 -

Since we cover startups and I am looking to start podcasting soon, I made a trip out the Podcast and New Media Expo.
This is the mecca for podcasters and new media people
First, up there is Howard Lindzon of Wallstrip who sold his video podcast to CBS for a reported $5 million dollars.
That is for the [...]

Social Networking 4.0 - Meta Social Networks

February 13, 2007 -

Social Networking has gone through three phases so far and I firmly believe that we are at the beginning of the fourth phase.

Bookmarking with Furl

February 7, 2007 -

I just started using a new bookmarking tool called Furl that is a compliment to Del.icio.us.
It is located at www.furl.net
Many of you might be familiar with it and see the “F” icon in some blog badges.
It’s quite versatile and useful, although it’s not perfect. I see a lot of possibilities for this kind of tool. [...]

    Twitter Pitch!

Twitter pitching is a form of pitch that requires succint "what does this mean for me" kind of pitching. It is the ultimate efficiency of words. You have 140 characters or less to tell me why your pitch matters to me or my readers. Please include a means of contacting you. This is included in your 140 characters. If you send successive pitches, you will likely be ignored, unless it's obvious that the first pitch was a case of "accidental send", etc.

This form of pitching does not mean I'm being a diva. It means that my time is valuable, and you want a piece of it. It's good practice for you, and delivers your pitch in a format I want. Win-win.
