Miss Paige

by Aaron Brazell on March 8, 2006 · 2 comments

I rarely do this, but every once in awhile I find a really high quality blog that interests me but that I’m not totally sure will benefit most of my readers. I’ve known Paige for a bit (never met in person) and visit her site every once in awhile. She’s in my RSS [...]

NEsery is defined succinctly as Northeast Misery. Tihs New Englander blogs New Englandy stuff from the perspective of “it sucks to live here”. Actually he covers NYC and northeast. He even has some interesting sports posts regardin Johnny Damon’s migration to the Yankees, etc.
Decent blog. Definitely not a rookie.

I love this site. Which site? The Photo Kid! An often overlooked style of blog outside of the niche itself is photoblogging and this kid has some style.
The blog is written by Edouard Mouy, a 16 year old guy from Melbourne, Australia. His style is candid/street photography which he describes as, “I [...]

Now in Podcasting Color

by Aaron Brazell on December 15, 2005 · 2 comments

This is not the proliferation I’ve been talking about but it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. I’ve decided to take a foray into podcasting. A little bit of an experiment to see how well recieved it will be.
Podcasting, for those who don’t know, is an audio “broadcast”. In it’s [...]

Mark Jaiquith is an accomplished developer and is really an icon to many.  To many more, though, he is an unknown.  His blog, Tempus Fugit, seemingly has two faces.  On one hand, he blogs proficiently from a conservative (almost too conservative, from my viewpoint) point of view.  He stands apart in the political blogosphere in [...]

Plodding along, we take a look at yet another tech blog. There are so many facets of tech, from web design, tech in business and this gem that looks at advanced objects of internet technology. I don’t mean browsers or messsengers. I’m talking about SOAP, REST, XML and other protocols and formats [...]

My apologies for missing yesterday’s entry. I’ve been recovering from some freak syndrome as well as working on proliferating a little. ;-) (Anybody know what I’m up to??)
That said, I ran across Snarkaholic in my search for little known, but quality blogs. This girl, woman, whatever, is a Western Mass out-in-the-middle-of-BFE blogger who [...]

As we plod along with examining some of the finer lesser known blogs, I hope that you will take the time to explore some of these blogs.  If you’re a political blogger, reading non-political blogs will help to increase your exposure to others in the non-political world.
Today we look at Tod Maffin.  Tod is a [...]

The Waiting Place is a unique war blog in that it is written from the perspective of a Kurdish-American woman who has a son-in-law who has been serving in Iraq as an interpreter.
It’s unique in that it doesn’t address the political nature of the conflict, and instead looks at the human side of things as [...]

We launch our foray into the world of great unknown blogs - or rather, the guys and gals that should be given awards for what they do but don’t because the A-list gets all the credit. I talked about all of that yesterday.
Sean Coon is probably not an “unknown” as I have read him [...]

Randy Moss. Terrell Owens. Mike Tyson. What do these guys have in common? They are all the self-proclaimed best at what they do.
Of course, I use wll known sports figures because most everyone can relate to these folks. But undoubtedly, you can find these egos in your company, your church, [...]
